Number One In Construction
Building Quality Since 1974
Sommer & Staff

Sommer & Staff Constructions is a company of long standing, established in 1974. The company has successfully completed projects throughout Queensland, the Pacific Islands, Papua New Guinea, and in Asia. Sommer & Staff has also completed a refurbishment of the early warning weather platforms in the Coral Sea.

Walter Sommer as founder director/shareholder continues to be involved with the company as Executive Chairman and brings a lifetime of experience to the company.

Excellent organisational skills have enabled Sommer & Staff to manage all projects, in the thirty eight years of its existence, from its head office in Brisbane. All construction sites operate as branch offices of the company.

A company operating in such diversified areas of the state and overseas requires exceptional leadership from directors and senior management. A "hands on attitude” and a flat company structure is essential, which allows the close management of each project including regular visits to site by senior management.

As a result the company has consistently received accolades for the quality of its finished projects, (whether as builder or construction manager) from its peers within the industry, and from its successful venture partners, as well as from its eminently satisfied clients.

Sommer & Staff continually strives to achieve improvements in its services to its clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers through its third party international accreditation for Quality Assurance and Workplace Health and Safety and is currently undertaking AS 1401 environmental accreditation.
